National Home Furnishings Month
In an unprecedented initiative to unite and energize the home furnishing industry, World Market Center Las Vegas, along with leading industry groups, launched the “Is it Home Yet?”™ campaign in 2009. The campaign is designed to provide a new and unified platform, empowering manufacturers and retailers to market their business, brands and products more cohesively.
This broad-based initiative was launched in collaboration with the National Home Furnishings Association and Western Home Furnishings Association, who drive retailer participation among their 10,000-plus member stores. The industry-wide initiative is further endorsed by the Sustainable Furnishings Council, WithIt, the Home Furnishings Independents Association and the American Society of Furniture Designers. With September designated as National Home Furnishings Month, the $20 million, multi-year program is financially underwritten by World Market Center.
The marketing program positions furnishings as a needed and desired enhancement to the family’s home and lifestyle – not a luxury. It simultaneously ignites consumer interest during the time of year when consumers are focused on their home, family and holiday planning, while increasing retail traffic and sales.
