Robert Maricich, CEO 

Robert Maricich is widely recognized as one of the luxury home furnishing industry’s most innovative leaders. He was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of World Market Center Las Vegas in January 2008.

Prior to his joining World Market Center Las Vegas, Maricich spent 11 years at Hickory, N.C.-based Century Furniture Industries, most recently as President and Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure as president and CEO, Maricich oversaw 1,200 associates and was instrumental in building the $175 million company into one of the industry’s most admired brands. Century is one of the world’s largest privately owned manufacturers of high-end residential furniture that manufactures, distributes and markets six product lines through multiple channels of distribution in a multi-plant manufacturing environment. Prior to Century, Maricich was President of American Drew, President of American of Martinsville Contract and Vice President of Contract Sales for Flexsteel Industries.

With more than 30 years of experience, he began his career as an engineer with Texaco in 1973. Promoted through the ranks of plant management, he then moved into sales before excelling in general management.

Maricich also served for many years on the American Furniture Manufacturers Association Board of Directors and was the past chairman of the executive committee. In 2000, he was appointed by the Governor of North Carolina to be chairman of North Carolina Export Council, a position he held until 2004. Currently, Maricich sits on the executive board for the industry’s largest retail association, National Home Furnishings Association (NHFA) as well as the executive committee for the Home Furnshings Industry charity, City of Hope. A contributor to Harvard Business Review, Maricich is a frequent speaker at leading design events and national business conferences.
