Tim Branscome, Vice President - International

Tim Branscome, a seasoned furniture industry veteran, leads World Market Center Las Vegas’ international team as Vice President of International.  Branscome develops strategic partnerships with major European trade fairs, international trade associations and foreign governments.  He also plays an integral role in World Market Center’s pursuit of international companies and groups who do not currently have U.S. showrooms, as well as positioning WMC as a truly global market center that connects buyers and sellers from around the world.

Branscome created the segmentation scheme for Las Vegas Market's design showcase areas: Alfresco, Design & Living and Context, serving as unique platforms for leading international designs for Textiles, Interior Furnishings and Premium outdoor furnishings. He has been instrumental in establishing WMC as the leading U.S. marketplace for sustainable and eco-friendly furnishings, as well as organized several very popular design exhibits from leading European designers. Branscome is based in London and manages World Market Center’s international business development from the company’s London office, utilizing his extensive network of contacts throughout Europe and Asia. Branscome’s background spans over 20 years including leadership roles with the home furnishings sector in international trade, marketing and logistics with a specialization in new market entry.

Before joining World Market Center Las Vegas, Branscome served as the International Trade Director for the State of North Carolina Department of Commerce, based in Europe, where he was responsible for organizing trade events for the home furnishings industry and developing export marketing strategies for USA furnishings suppliers. He has organized trade events in 22 countries across Europe, Asia and Middle East. He also worked as the Director of International Development for United Business Media Plc., a London based business-to-business trade show and publishing company. He also has worked closely with the British Furniture Association.

Branscome, a native of North Carolina, has spent the last 12 years living in Europe and is also fluent in German. He is an Economics Graduate from Guilford College and has completed international studies at the University of Vienna Austria and the Goethe Institute in Germany.
